Most residents of Zielona Góra and the surrounding area, are well acquainted with the headquarters of the Lubuskie Logistics Center, a company that since 2015 has functioned as one of the key investors in the Zielona Gora industrial zone. Its main areas of activity were services related to shipping, transportation and logistics.
In recent months, Lubuskie Logistics Center transformed into a group of LCL companies, the former popular name ceased to function and the management of the companies focused on the development of activities within the aforementioned industries and exploration into new ones. This is how the company was spun off, among others LCL Logistic, which focuses its activities on logistics services.
LCL Logistic warehouse space
LCL Logistic’swarehouse space currently totals 10,000 sqm. New warehouses were put into operation at the beginning of the year, bringing the number of pallet spaces to 8,000. The warehouses are of high Class A and partially automated. The company is focused on contract logistics and servicing the e-commerce industry, offering a full range of services.
The new warehouse space is not only an opportunity to serve more customers and grow for the company itself, it also means new jobs for the region’s residents, so needed in the continuing economic crisis and turmoil of the European economy. At the same time, an active search for land for new investments is underway to pursue further goals, as the area of the aforementioned industrial zone has become cramped.
LCL’s new warehouses have already played an important role in relief efforts for Ukrainian citizens – it was here that donations flowed in from the western part of Poland, which were segregated, packaged and stored until transported by LCL Spedition fleet trucks to Ukraine. The management of the LCL companies also responded to an appeal from the Regional Hospital with a request for help in storing medical equipment intended to become equipment for the Maternal and Child Health Center once it is up and running – the operation of this unit has been suspended due to the need to set up a Temporary Hospital in the Center’s dedicated building for the treatment of patients infected with coronavirus. LCL Logistic has made its new warehouses available for use by the Hospital indefinitely.
New jobs at LCL Logistic
The larger size of the warehouses requires an increase in the number of people operating them, so new jobs have been created for warehousemen , UDT-certified warehousemen, foremen and admissions department leaders.
